  2. Solve the problem of users not being able to find the information about the art pieces before leaving the website

  3. Propose solutions

  • The problem I suspect is that the usability of this website does not only influence the user’s online experience but also their experience in the museum.

  • How might we make the user be able to find the information they need more efficiently and accurately before leaving the website?

Understand the Opportunity

Define Audience

  • Target users who are looking for information on prominent pieces of art

    • Different purposes for visiting the website

  • Pain Points

    • Too many entrances to the search function

    • Search filters are inefficient

    • Limited images of exhibition objects that are shown in the exhibition

      the content hierarchy reconsidered

    • Unable to find the collection page

  • Able to create their own path before visiting the museum

  • To enhance the  experience either in the museum or on the museum website, here are some hypothetical solutions to add more excitement:

    • Enable user to store the art information while visiting the museum

    • Augment the museum pathway to guide user without the printed guide
